The year was 1999 and I was a younger angler wading in the beautiful St. Johns River in Jacksonville Florida. I could see the big black tails as they darted left and right knocking free twigs, old leaves, and debris from the semi-sandy bottom of the St. John’s River. I eyeballed the location of the female, looked and took aim and slung my rod and my lure right on top of where I had last seen the giant lunker bass. Right then and there I knew I had one heck of a pole in my hand for freshwater fish as the Rhino delivered my lure directly where I needed it to be. After a 10 minute fight that ensued, I landed what was a beautiful 10 pound large mouth bass. I was in love with that rhino rod right there and then! By the way, I let the largemouth go.

Such are the stories that are so numerous on the North American rivers and are largely accountable to the Zebco Rhino freshwater fishing rods and accompanying reels.
