Are you equipped for a good day of fly fishing?
Here are some key items that should be on your fly fishing accessory list. For a perfect day fly fishing don’t forget these important items.
- Fly Rod
- For trout 3 to 6 weight rod
- For lake trout 5 to 6 weight rod
- For steelhead 7 to 8 weight rod
- For salmon and pike and 9 to 10 weight rod
- A reel. Drag is recommended for steelhead and salmon, but not necessary for trout
- Fly line that is matched to your rod

- A variety of flies based on the location and whether or not your line floats or sinks
