Fish Taco Recipe

Your kids will love them...

A fish taco recipe provides a terrific change of speed at dinner time. Good fish taco recipes become family favorites and impress even the pickiest eaters. Anglers are coming up with creative ways to cook their fish all the time and taco recipes are becoming more popular north of the 49th.

OK, let‘s check out a fish recipe or two…

Fresh Walleye Taco’s

1 Pound fresh walleye fillets

1 Tbsp chili powder

1 Fresh jalapeno

1/4 Cup fresh cilantro leaves

Butter

2 Limes

Flour tortillas

1/4 Cup canola oil

Whisk together oil, chili powder, coarsely chopped jalapeno, chopped cilantro and freshly squeezed limes. Marinade the fish for 20 minutes in the mixture.

Warm a non-stick frying pan over medium heat. Place the fish in the pan and cook until brown on each side. Fish is done when it flakes easily with a fork.

Garnish with any of the following: Shredded lettuce or cabbage, hot sauce, sour cream, chopped red or green onion, fresh cilantro and salsa.

Enjoy.

The Hola Perch

2 Fresh limes

1/4 Cup orange juice

2 Tbsp taco seasoning

1 Lb fresh perch fillets

1 Tbsp canola oil

2 Cups chopped lettuce

1/2 Cup chopped green onion

1/2 Cup sour cream

8 Tortilla’s

Lime wedges

Combine the taco seasoning, juice from the 2 fresh limes and orange juice in a bowl. Add fish to bowl.

Warm a large non-stick skillet at a medium heat. Add the oil and cook the perch until brown on one side. Turn the fish and cook until golden brown or fish easily flakes with a fork.

Add the lettuce, onions and sour cream to a separate bowl and mix.

Warm the tortillas and apply about 1/3 cup lettuce mixture down the center of each tortilla. Evenly divide the fish among the tortillas. Fold in half and serve with lime wedges.
