Fish Sauce Recipes

This is definitely one of the best fish sauce recipes around and will spice up any dinner party or even a great Sunday brunch. It can be used on virtually any type of fish, but I am partial to it on salmon and trout.

It is easy to make. Give it a try.

Ingredients

  • ½ Teaspoon Salt
  • ¼ Teaspoon Fresh Black Pepper
  • ¼ Cup Pure Sugar
  • 1 Cup Cold Water
  • 2/3 Cup Whole Milk
  • 2 Teaspoon Butter
  • 1 Whole Egg
  • 1 ½ Teaspoon Pure Veggie Oil
  • 3 Tablespoon White Vinegar
  • 2 Tablespoons Mustard (Dried)
  • 2 Tablespoons White Flour
Method of Preparation

In a saucepan mix all of the sugar, oil, butter, salt and pepper. Add the milk and water and vinegar and bring to a boil. Mix in the remaining ingredients and stir well. As the boiling water and the egg mixture starts to come together a gelling effect will start to take hold and as the sauce thickens. Stir constantly.

After about two minutes turn down the heat and allow the sauce to simmer. After about 7 to 10 minutes the sauce will be ready to be placed over any fried fish.
