BC Fishing Lodge

A BC fishing lodge can provide you with the amenities required for a memorable vacation. There are a number of different service levels available in British Columbia, and some outfitters go the extra mile when compared to others. Decide if you are looking for the comforts of home or something a little more rustic. BC fishing lodges can vary.

BC Fishing Lodge, BC Fishing Lodges, BC Fishing, BC Salmon Fishing, BC Fly Fishing Most fishing lodges will provide you with all of the basics including gear rentals, boat rentals and fish cleaning services. But some go well beyond providing you with just standard service.

If you are interested in catching fish and eating in the wilderness, shore lunch services are offered as an option all over British Columbia. In fact, in many locations a shore lunch is included with the services provided by a fishing guide. But make sure you ask the costs up front and don’t assume anything.

Virtually all BC fishing camps have a tackle & bait shop. This is often tied to a small store where you can get the basic supplies such as ice, soda and a limited variety of groceries. But remember, the further you are from a major centre, the more these things are going to cost you.

If you want to explore a high end BC fishing lodge, you can really pamper yourself. Some locations provide laundry and towel service. Most high-end fishing lodges have an on-site restaurant where you can enjoy many types of food.

Some high-end fishing lodges go all out when it comes to differentiating themselves. Your cabin can have a hot tub. You might have breakfast and hot coffee arrive at your door before you hit the water. And some outfitters in BC will bring your breakfast to you on the water while you are fishing. How cool is that?

For some, the high-end market is not their cup of tea. The more services provided by the outfitter, the higher the cost. But if you are going to take the plunge and check out one of these high-end resorts, you will not be disappointed.

If you really want to get away from it all, ask the camp operator if they have one-day fly in trips away from the main fishing lodge. Rather than staying “local” and fishing the main river or lake, you can sometimes get your party flown to a secluded area to have all to yourself. They take you there in the morning and pick you up late afternoon.

These one day junkets can be an amazing experience and often provide fishing unparalleled in the region. Think about it, these locations rarely see any fishing pressure. The fish often grow plentiful in size and numbers. Plus it is a neat feeling knowing you have an entire river or lake all to yourself.

A BC fishing lodge can help provide you with some of the most memorable experiences of fishing you will ever find. Determine whether you want to be pampered or adventurous (or somewhere in the middle) and find the service provider that best suits you. Remember to ask questions about their services before you book and you will set yourself up for the trip of a lifetime.

Thanks for reading.

Good fishing.
