Baked Trout RecipeThanks for checking out this baked trout recipe. It is easy to make and the flavor of the Chardonnay really gives it a nice zing. It goes great with many side dishes, but we typically have baked potatoes, baked green beans and a garden or Greek salad.This recipe works great for both rainbow trout and lake trout.
Ingredients
Preheat your oven to 400F. Place the fillet in a rimmed baking dish. Rub with lemon juice and pour the wine over the top. Sprinkle with parsley, garlic, green onion, and bread crumbs. Spoon the melted butter evenly over the top. Place in the oven and bake for 12 minutes or until you can flake it easily with a fork. The cooking time for this smoked trout recipe can vary by size and with of the meat. Small pieces can be cooked in as little as 3 hours, where as a large thick piece can take up to 10. As a general rule of thumb, fish is cooked when it can be flaked with a fork.
