Baked Fish Recipes

Baked fish recipes are down right delicious. They can also be a heck of a lot healthier than fried fish recipes. In fact the American Heart Association recommends eating baked or broiled fish recipes more than once a week to increase your intake of omega-3 fatty acids.

Omega-3 fatty acids have been known to decrease the risk of heart disease and certain types of cancers. So there are more reasons than just taste when it comes to eating baked fish recipes.

OK, let’s check out a couple sample baked fish recipes.

Cherry Tomato Baked Walleye

2 Pounds of walleye fillets

1 Package of cherry tomato’s

½ Cup of pitted black olives (optional)

2 Cloves of garlic

3 Chopped green onions

1/3 Pound of feta cheese

Mayonnaise

Preheat oven to 350 F.

Lightly coat the fish with mayonnaise and place into a baking dish. Place fish into the oven for 12 to 15 minutes.

Sauté the onions and then add the garlic, olives and tomato’s. Cook until the tomatoes collapse.

When you can flake the fish with a fork remove it from the oven. Place the feta cheese over the fillets and cook until the cheese melts. Remove from the oven.

Top the walleye with the vegetable mix, and serve.

Parmesan Pike

2 Pounds of northern pike fillets

1/3 Cup milk

2 Tsp sea salt

1/2 Cup crushed bread crumbs

1/2 Tsp paprika

1/3 Cup grated Parmesan cheese

Melted butter

Preheat the oven to 375 F. Grease a large baking dish.

Mix the salt and milk in a shallow bowl. In another bowl, combine the bread crumbs, parmesan cheese and paprika.

Dip the pike into the milk and salt, and then into the bread crumb mixture, covering the fillet.

Put the covered fillets into the baking dish and pour the melted butter over the pike.

Bake for about 25 minutes. The fish will easily flake when it is ready.

It’s a good one!
